Travelling in or out of the UK
Travelling in or out of the UK
British citizens can come into and go out of the UK as they please, unless, for example, they’ve been convicted of a crime and are on bail, in which case they can’t leave the country which is under the UK law. Children shouldn’t be taken out of the UK without the consent of both parents. How long you can remain outside the UK depends on the country you’re visiting. Nothing in UK law says that you must come back within a particular period of time, but it is recommended to come back at least once every 2 years.
